ZF579 AT WARTON

01/86 53-671, now coded ZF579 in RAF livery, on finals to Warton Aerodrome for storage.

09/87. Zf579 deteriorating, some 18 months after its gleaming arrival at Warton. Outside storage is taking its toll already.

Early 1988. Tucked up, but now over 2 years in outside storage, Zf579 is still suffering from the effects of  harsh esturine air.

Mid 1988, all but the jet pipe cover have long given up the fight, 579's steel fastenings are suffering badly

Here, the strong winds that regularly battered 579 are clear to see, with the jet pipe cover taking a beating.

ZF579, waiting patiently along side its sister ships

Above 5 pictures 04/1989. ZF579, starts to get a clean up. It will be dismantled and stored in the containers behind, for sale to Aiden Baille
